Just doing a little investigation as I have a feeling there is an X-pipe in my future - but definitely down the road as the mod fund is currently about dried up (after the ducktail and Eibachs go on).

I have the Flowmaster American Thunder axlebacks already on - the sound of the car is perfect for me - I love it . If it gets louder with the Xpipe alright - but my main reason for installing is added performance, so if it comes down to two and which one is louder, that's not what I am after. I'll actually go with the quieter one.

Thanks to all who throw their thoughts my way - appreciate as always!!

I dyno'd after the Magnaflow with high flows and didn't pick-up anything.

Sure sounds purdy though

The shop was actually surprised it didn't produce hp gains.

I had heard that with the Magnaflow High cat/x-pipe combination pipe that there was a gain of 20 horse. I am looking into that package because of this. Strange that you did not pick anything up.

I just ordered the Magnaflow X-pipe w/ high flow cats and I will let everyone know how that turns out when I get them on. I ordered on 7/24 so it will probably be next week.

I have the Magnaflow X-pipe w/ high flow cats and am very satisfied with the sound and performance. Unfortunately I installed the X-Pipe after my last dyno session so I don't know about HP gains.

I too am interested in this one, because an X-pipe is probably next on my list.

Tmcolegr, what are you making with the mods you have on there now? I notice that the ones I have on are some of yours. Your numbers with what you have on there will give us a clue of roughly what to expect (in theory...)

I already took a before video of my exhaust with just the Magnapacks and I will take an after when I get them on. I will also take a few pictures of the x-pipe before I put it on. I need to find somewhere to host the videos though.

Bassani is one of the best you can get I believe as far as gains. I believe there was just a review of the xpipe with compcats with some good gains. Especially if you plan on tuning the car as well. Good luck, I love my bassani.

I think with the Flowmaster axle-backs a full off road Prochamber would sound the best without being obnoxiously loud, and would offer a nice power gain.

Oddly though, the Prochamber will quiet down the Stang a bit, since our cats are up front.

Thanks for the info Dan - I have heard good things about Bassani as well - where did you get yours??....

(you don't happen to remember where that review was from too do ya?)

MM&FF is where the review was. I was lucky enough to buy them new from a person on here, who returned there car under lemon law. Got them brand new in boxes whole set up for 750 including axlebacks. So you can see why I bought them. But I was going to anyway at 1100 plus shipping. If you do enough searches on here there is extensive talk about the reviews etc. The review had been stated as giving 20hp without tune and 40hp with tune. There have been at least 20 topics such as yours with the bassani questions, and many questions were answered good luck.

My only mod is the Magna flow x w/hi flo's. I pulled 250rwhp and 260rwtq on a mustang dyno. Not sure if that is good or not since I never did a baseline. Another thread had someone saying they got zero gain from the x. As for the sound, even with stock muff's is much healthier !

When I say off road Prochamber, I mean NO cats. Prochambers are basically x-pipes with a box around it. So a off road Prochamber would definately be louder than the stock H.

Well the nice thing about the bassani comp cats and xpipe, you also get the off road pipes in the same kit. So if you want to, you could interchange them as need(inspections etc.) Good luck
