X pipe

If I install a x pipe is better to weld it in or do the clamps work well enough to not have exhaust leaks.

The clamps are fine, just make sure they're tight

Is it hard to put in an x pipe? I know the gains difference from h an x are minimal but will the x just offer better sound over the stock h?

H keeps the mustang sound. And no it's not. There's four bolts on one end and two clamps on the other. Should take about 30 mins.

Oh okay. I'll stick to the stock one then. So does the x pipe just offer a different sound? Is that the main point of switching.

Get the x-pipe,I like the sound better and plus, you have a different exhaust setup then stock so when people ask you what mods you have you can brag a bit about it,I had clamps but with time they didnt keep tight enough to seal perfectly,so just weld the together and no worries about them leaking

I went with the x pipe and liked the sound. It sounds a little more aggressive. The bolts on the clamps should be tq to 40ft pounds.

That's what I did and it had a lot of drone and was kind of "tinny" about 3K but 12" diffusers fixed that problem. Now she sounds deep and loud (with Mac axle backs).

Dude I love the sound of the valves snapping shut. Drone can be fixed with driving style. Lots of ppl ***** about drone but they drive like they're in a Camry...... No **** it's droney lo. You don't need to be in 5th at 45 haha

Maybe it's different with cams, which I have. Can't say I've heard a 3v close up with full exhaust and stock cams. Being able to hear the valves snapping shut through the exhaust Makes it sound more serious IMO.

Yeah dude it has to be the cams cause otherwise it was bad. I had JLT cold air, custom Bama tune, off road H, and Mac axle backs. After 2.9K it went from muscle car to angry bees in a coffee can in a Honda sound.
