Kenne Bell 2.6L Big Bore
Bigger than Saleen or Whipple (2.6L > 2.3)
Bigger means:
Fewer rpm's for same boost
More effecient
Less heat because it spins slower,
Lower parasitic loss (less engine HP to spin),
More boost potential (25psi compared to 14-15 for the Saleen before effeciency is an issue),
More HP potential,
Saleen doesn't come polished.
IAT is downstream of intercooler for more accurate readings, Whipple is still way up by the air filter.
True Cold Air Intake, doesn't suck hot engine air.
Don't need a crowbar, 5# sledge, dented firewall, or lowering mounts to install (most Saleens)
Any tuner can custome dyno tune it, don't have to mail off your PCM or have Ford dealer flash it back to stock or worry about getting stranded when your tuner trys to tune it (Whipple).
Billet aluminum construction, stronger than cast (Whipple and Saleen)
Costs less than the Whipple and less than a JDM Stage 1 or 2 Saleen kit
As far as looks, I think the KB looks aight.

Thanks! I almost got a Saleen, then I almost got a Whipple, but after I compared them, I couldn't see paying more for less.
Things I don't like about the KB:
Big black intake tube is ugly, IMO.
Some have had issues with tensioners and belts popping.
Have to cut out a bigger hole in the radiator core support bracket for the CAI. The hole is already there, it just has to be cut out around 30% larger.
Whipple comes with GT500 pump setup, were KB just Boost a Pump on the stock pump.
Whipple looks more like it came stock.
Lots of guys using Saleens are really happy with them and turning great times.
Any one of these is going to be big fun, so you really can't loose, since any one of these will get an S197 faster than 99.99% of the cars on the road.

Here's how I see it:
If you want some serious extra punch but don't plan on doing major work on your stock block, (ie - its a daily driver and you don't have alot of extra cash to spend on mods to the block), go Saleen Series VI or Whipple.
If you plan on serious track time and doing some work to your block to support over 12 lbs of boost (ie - up into the 20s), go KB.....
It all depends on what you are after.....

The intercooled KB comes as is at 8psi and puts less strain on the engine by being bigger, more effecient, less parasitic loss, less heat, fewer RPM's for the same boost, cooler air intake, true measure of the IAT after the supercharger, etc, than the Whipple intercooled kit at 10 psi.
And the Whipple can be run up to 25psi, the same as the KB, so in the long run, the Whipple can still perform well with a built block, though it's still smaller than the KB.
My KB is in my daily driver, 8psi, running just fine, and saved my $800 on the cost of the Whipple.
I think any one of these will make a good daily driver, but you're right, the KB has the most room for improvement and will outperform them when the boost gets bumped up.

What I was saying is that most people who get the KBs tend to PLAN on exploiting the UPPER psi ceiling easily available to them - hence with the S197, open the window to building out the block. For someone like me who has no plans to do that whatsoever, going with a KB, I would be 'wasting' the upper psi potential of the unit. [and tempted to use it]
I was saying nothing about negative aspects of the KB as a daily driver.

Ok,
for those saying that the Saleen is worthless past 14psi...
about how much would it be putting down to the wheels at that level? Probably more than enough for a daily driver, I would imagine.

Hah!
Funny - I always think about that myself - with my luck, I am like
'Yeah I am pretty fast - but leave it to me to run into some import twin turbo whatchamacallit that was in an Import Tuner mag and embarrass the ^$#@% outta me.....'
