Don't want to prejudice your decision, but dollar for dollar it's a great value.

I am at about 5k for my polished aftercooled vortech. Making about 485 WHP now after the GT500 pumps were installed. The car is a beast.

What happened to your insurance premiums after you told your insurance company you installed the supercharger?

haha, my insurance company will never know. I dont plan on telling them. if they knew I installed a s/c on my stang, my premium would sky-rocket, since I am 23, and under 25 and living in NJ, but with a perfectly good driving record, no points.

I told my insurance company

I have USAA insurance and I told them about all of my upgrades. They wanted copies of the receipts for proof. With the supercharger and all of the upgrades my premium only went up about 100 dollars over each 6 month period. Not bad plus I am protected if my car blows up or gets stolen!

Ask the same thing about a 5.0 motor, and the reply would be all kinds of different!
Do you have any experience with a MagnaCharger that would put it near the bottom of the list? I am seriously considering that one or a Paxton from Brenspeed.

OMG I do not miss that at all. I remember paying out the a$$ for just liability in NJ for my first car at 17....a 1975 Ford Maverick!

Florida is not to far behind in prices though however they do not have auto inspections here. Someone told me that the inspection process comes in waves, many years without it, many years with it, then without it again.....

......and some still wonder why they couldn't get the election votes correct?

Back on topic.

I am running a Roushcharger.

Reason chosen: Was on the car when I bought it. On a dealer search back in August for an 06 5spd GT with the exterior/interior colors I wanted, this was the only one available from Palm Beach County down. (poor me).

Pro's: Warranty, Warranty, Warranty, and....Warranty! If you want peace of mind and not have to worry one little inch about messing up your 3/36000, there is no other choice. Other Pro's: Plenty fast for everyday street use, engineered to last the life of the engine, looks good under the hood (especially the polished one). Yes it costs more but you are bascially paying to keep your warranty and not shortening the life of your motor. Bolt on and forget about it, close the hood and step on it. Sounds great and will turn a lot of heads from the sound.

Sound from outside: http://www.southfloridastangs.net/videos/WAR.mpg

Sound from the inside: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkXJaFf28H0

Cons: $$$ for less power. This is one of the lower powered blowers. It only runs at around 4 to 5 psi tops (I think) with the Roush tailored tune. Probably not for the total enthusiast looking to race more then drive everyday. Any mods from the H or X (whatever you have) forward basically kills the warranty that Roush picks up from Ford (the 3/36000). No room to adjust outside of Roush meaning no other tunes out there to try, not even from Roush except the 427R tune, that will not break the warranty. Steeda in Pompano Beach havs a package that can bump the RWHP to around 385 but again..bye bye warranty. As most Roots/Twinscrew designs, may cause issues with aftermarket hoods.

Summary: Very well engineered blower with impressive power for the everyday driver with the added peace of mind of maintaining the factory warranty. Not for the enthusiast who plans on doing other mods, plans on spending a lot of time at the race track for serious racing, and is looking for every ounce of HP they can find.

That's sound like me. I'm an everyday driver and will spend little if any time at a race track or drag strip. The warranty issue is very important to me. If if voids my warranty I won't do it until the warranty's up.

Me also. Thats why I am considering a MagnaCharger from HotPart.com for about $1000.00 dollars less than a Roushcharger
