Ok I remember that (and still sorry that it happened for you Don). I was thinking something happened to the car. Sorry for the momentary lapse of brain power.

Thanks guys. As tough as its been, we're still thankful for a lot of things and we'll come out of it OK in the end. We should be breaking ground on the new house in the next month, so that will be exciting for us. It's going to be a PITA... but exciting nonetheless.

I wish I knew how to get sponsers and get free stuff for my car. If I do any other mods that are paid for out of my pocket I am sure I will be served with divorce papers.

Don, I didn't know about the fire. **** sorry to hear about that man.

kinda surprising that stuff under the grill made it through. That swing is alright just needs new cushions. Will you be building in the same place?

Car - out the door $28900
Mods - approx $6000 to date

Total - $34900

Now for $34900 I have a car that Looks as good as a Shelby GT (IMO) and performs better than cars that cost more. Power adder puts me at $42K
Guesstimating $30K on Mods...........

08 Bullitt Special ordered was 34K MSRP

I've got receipts for right at $20k that came with the car. Only paid $24k. Put about $3k in it myself.

Car +BBK +Wheels +Hood +Bodykit + Custom Paint +Suspension + CAI - CAI +Blower - Blower +Engine = more than I should have spent hehe.

If I kept track it would just depress me

But when I turn the key I smile.

No kidding! I'm not quite that good......car (bought from second owner with 53k on the clock) was 11k, about another 500 in mods (thank you Craigslist, but bump it to 900 if I include the drag radials)...

I know how you feel about spending the cash on MODS. I have an 07 GT that I just purchased about a month ago. I have already have done a CAI, Ford K springs, an exhaust and other minor mods. I have purchased used when I could and saved a lot of $ buying used. I would love to do a Super Charger but the car is already almost 5 years old and one generation body style old so it's a matter of is it worth it? It's a tough question

I guess I've never answered this but I could have sworn I had...

Bought the car for $28.5k in July 2007.

Mods to date last I checked was a little more than $21k.

So I've got $50k in the car. That's just one of the cars.
