It would be nice if most of you guys would come back here, and hang out once in a while.

You are so right.

I have way more money into my car than I ever thought or wanted to spend but it is all performance orientated. I have not spent a single dollar on an appearance item and don't plan to.

I started with a little performance and a lot of appearance. Then switched to performance only and now I'm kind of balanced.

Appearance: ~$4700
Performance: ~$5700

I hate doing this.... so far it's not too bad, but I've only had the car for about 5 weeks.

Car = $26000 out the door
Mods = ~$1200

Future plans for now consist of Steeda CMCV deletes, and then that'll be it for a while, as I don't know what direction I want to go next.

Do you have a sponsorship, or deal with a shop or something? How did you manage a blower for $2200? Me = jealous.

I got lucky, a guy said he had a blower and had decided to go twin turbo and I said how much you want for the blower. No sponsorship, just had multiple strokes of luck. D1SC kit, minus fuel stuff and tuner for $2200....yeah I was all over that. And the head unit was brand new in the box sealed.

car 34 grand
mods about 3k

My wife is up in arms...
"I bought you this cool car and you won't leave it alone"???

As she leaves to spend another $100 on her hair and $50 on her nails....

My hobby is cheaper than her personal upkeep.

Hell I have even started cutting my own hair just to demonstrate MY ability to save money.

Bought the car in late '04 for about 27k. I've put at least 18k or maybe as much as 20k in it and I do most of my own work! Sick huh? I don't regret one minute of it. The wife hasn't *****ed once and hasn't gained any weight in 22 years of marriage. I have recently started to mod out her diesel pickup truck though. That will keep her quiet too.

Hey at my age I could be dead tomorrow, next month or 10 yrs.
So I just do what I want NOW and dont care what it costs!!!!!
I have 43K + in this thing including 490HP upgraded Saleen S/C...I'm basically done now. Maybe a diff. cover or small items and a few speed tickets??

With only $1100 in S/C install and paint the rest is all parts, shipping, taxes etc.
But I enjoyed doing all the mods I did. I did all the black stuff myself cuz no one wanted to do it. I just wanted something different enough for even the Ford guys to maybe scratch their heads and say "WTF??"
My G/F thinks I'm an idiot but I think she was dumb buying at 65K Caddy XLR to go to get her nails done every other week.
You younger guys may someday feel the same way. Life is too short NOT to not do what you want to do. So, I blow a lot of $ on cars, motorcycles and golf. Hey, I don't work anymore!!!!!!!!MY son doesn't need the money so I intend to die 2 hrs. before my last check bounces..............
