I've done it before. I also started ordering the parts through my performance shop, pay with cash so she can't see the activity on the credit card.

I told her my TLOK and gears were safety upgrades for the winter.

It's mainly convenience for me as well. There are people here to sign for it when nobody is at home. Our shipping dept is starting to get pissed at me though I think. They stopped delivering stuff to my desk and started calling me to pick it up.

My financee doesn't care what I do to the car, she just doesn't want to hear about "your stupid car". If I stop talking about mods I hear "I don't care about your stupid car". Fine with me, she can't drive it anyway. Besides I act the same way if she starts wedding talk or talks about her new "cute shoes". It's just in one ear and out the other.

She looks at purses and shoes on ebay and I look at car parts.

When she gets mad at me she tells me "your girlfriend the computer is calling you, why don't you go play with her" She says this at least once a day.
My wife has her own computer, but she told me, "if you want a Mustang, I get a dog".

The new dog is really lots of fun.

I ordered my 2006 Vista Blue GT TODAY!!!!!

I promised my wife I wouldn't start putting on mods till a few other bills get paid off. So the incentive is to hurry up and get them paid! And since she does the books, so its tough to hide credit card purchases. :bang:

Here is a few of my tricks...
My little brother is a mechanic and owns his own shop..
I just use his credit card and pay him back in cash.
HE... will order parts for his WS6 on the company card....

I actually bought my Mustang on my lunch break last year and drove it home from work. We had only talked a couple of times about how much I liked it but had not discussed actually buying one. At the time (April '05) GT's were hard to come buy in the SF Bay Area so when one showed up on the dealerships lot I bought on the spot.

I wasn't sure if I would still be married when I got home, but the first thing she said was "when are you going to get stripes on it?". Then she agreed to let me get the Magnaflows, Chrome Bullits and new BFG KDW's.

After I recently installed the C&L intake with the Alt. Auto tune her first comment after driving it was "That's how a Mustang should drive".

So I guess I lucked out there. Course she was driving a '66 Mustang with a kickhiney 289 when we got married so it shouldn't really suprise me too much.

If you think that was good, you'll like this

Here's my little shrine to the drag strip gods with all my little cars and time slips. I have the picture of my car burning out at the track hanging up along with my fastest time slip hanging up next to it. Every time I do better the new slip goes up.

I do that with my bro, he has the credit card, so I just have him order stuff and I pay him from my savings.

Yes it's a small portable dog, but it hardly ever barks and beats up the stupid cat that is more than twice it's size. (I wonder what a cat looks like with no ears? I may find out.)

Buddy's salesmen will tell me more about when after the changes are submitted so it is exactly the way I want it.

I don't have to hide my parts at work. I just keep them near the treadmill. I know she'll never go near there!!

There's another Vista Blue GT in Nashua. I had the only Redfire until NHStang got his. I like the 64W wheels, those weren't out yet when I ordered. With that spoiler delete you better get a ducktail.

My mother in law used to have an ankle biter. I used to call it "football". He was really tough barking at me and hiding under the tables so I wouldn't kick him. He got put to sleep recently and I took her out to dinner after to celebrate.'

When you get your car, we'll have to take it to New England Dragway to break it in properly.

I avoid most arguements and sneaky parts shopping by using the principle that women forget almost any wrong when given presents.

Generally the arguement starts and then it turns out one of the boxes on the door step was actually for her.

Awwwwwww you're the sweatest husband, all's forgiven.

The pile got considerably bigger today. To the point where I have no place to put work stuff now. Good thing I have ordered everything that I needed. If I hadn't put the flowmasters and LCAs in my car already I would have no place to put this stuff.

[attachmentid=44206]

can you guess what all this stuff is?

This Speed of Sound gauge pod and Cobalt gauges are F-ing sick looking

Ironically, I bought a water pump and sent it to work. However, I bought a Shaker Scoop and sent it to the house.

She does not understand why I change things on a new car, but she does not complain. As long as I have the money. I guess I had enough for the pump, but it might take a month to pay it off.
