whistle around 5200rpms

As the title states I'm getting a short whistle(squeal) around 5200 rpms @ WOT. It wont do it if I dont go WOT. It has been doing it I believe for awhile but just recently I have had the radio down enough to hear it better. I can reproduce it 80% of the time. 1st gear happens so quickly that I cant really tell if its there. 2nd gear you can hear it for about a 1/4 of a second. In 3rd gear its more like 1/2 second. At one point I got the whistle in 3rd gear at 6200rpms. I was thinking about going back to the stock tune to make sure the "whistle" isnt pinging. I have to believe though that its my intake whistling. It definitely sounds like its coming from under the hood. Any one experience this or have any ideas as to what it might be? Thanks.

After thinking on it a little.... I dont think the tune has anything to do with it.. If the car was pinging and then pulling some timing it would "whistle" for the same duration no matter what gear or speed. As it is now the difference in duration between 2nd and 3rd is noticeable. hmmm..

It has to be your Aircharger, other people have noticed their aftermarket intake whistle at various speeds/throttle positions. It's nothing to be concerned about I'm sure. The way you describe it, the intake is whistling at a set rpm only, and it is because of a certain air velocity going through it. That velocity is reached at that RPM at WOT no matter what gear you're in.
