The standard whipple kit offered everywhere is the 2.3.

Adam at ST Motorsports has already adapted the 3.4 whipple to a couple s197's with the 4.6, and he is doing two more.

The 2.3 whipple, 2.3 saleen, or 2.6H Kenne Bell is plenty to get this car in the 10's and all three are excellent superchargers.

I will say, however, from first hand experience at the track, that the whipple does have cooler intake air temps. I also picked the whipple kit because of the GT500 fuel pump system included with the kit.

The 2.6H KB will make more power when you start to push it above 16 psi.

Here are some vids for you:

If it matters, the whine from the whipple is definitely louder.

What company offers the best price on a Whipple (complete kit, not tuner)?

since you live in PA, I would check out CJponyparts.com They are located near Harrisburg. Myself and Torrence had our whipples installed there last year. They have very competetive pricing vs the vendors on this site.

BTW Torrence, I really hate you now:P Thanks for bragging about driving your car down the LIE...My **** car has been sitting in a garage since december

Lethal Performance & RWTD Performance both have great and low pricing on the whipple kits.

I'm just the messenger.....

CJ's is really good though. I'm actually headed there Saturday for some LCA's and upper 3rd link. Should be a fun drive.
Spring is just around the corner, we gotta go for a drive......

curious why you ruled out the Saleen though.
lol i just hate the way it looks! plus i've heard so many stories of having to cut through the firewall and lower the engine etc. imo it just looks too stock. the kb and whipples definitely look more aftermarket. i know its a pretty dumb reason to rule it out but thats what i'm goin with.

oh it matters lol, great videos btw

i dont know, the kb just seems so quiet.

torrence, which kit from lethal performance did you buy?

If you want the whine go with an Eaton roots type.

Check Trilogy International. They were working on an Eaton kit for the 3V Mustang. You won't find better customer service either.

That's not a stupid reason..... I understand completely.

+1, you're right about that- the Magna is loud as hell.

LOL That's one of the main reasons I WANT the saleen. Cause of the way it looks.

i mean i also don't want the whine there ALL the time, even during normal city driving. i also dont want it to be so loud that it will drown out my exhaust. from what i've heard, the whipple is pretty quiet until you get on the gas and then it whines pretty loud

one thing though, the shop that i always go to get installs done (mph), has EXTENSIVE experience with kenne bell. thats pretty much what they put on all of the cars (or most) that come through there and they really know the ins and outs of kb. i dont think i've heard many people who have gotten whipples installed or tuned there at all. so is it a good idea to get a whipple even though the shop might not know a whole lot about it because they've really never had a ton of experience with them?

I bought the HO kit with SCT tuner and tune from VMP tuning, but I got the car custom dyno tune at SGS performane in PA, after CJ's did the install.

Final numbers came out to be 456rwhp from an AUTO. They said they had it up to 477rwhp, but wanted to play it safe on the AUTO.

From a guy that's been running a 2.6L KB since Aug. 06, I'd have to say that I'd rather have a Whipple.

The simple fact that it comes with the GT500 pumps and spark plugs makes it the more "complete kit". It looks great in the engine compartment! It screams like nobodies business, and it's been proven to be a heavy hitter amongst the KB and the Saleen for the King of the Twin Screws.

As mentioned earlier, it has a better cooling/intercooler set up and just seems to be a badass SC even for those of us not looking to test the limits of their blowers.

Not to take anything away from my KB! It's badass in it's own right! But had the Whipple been out when I bought it, I would have went with the Whipple.

As far as the whine of an Eaton Termi, look no further than our very own Magnacharger. It's an Eaton blower in a Magnacharger body.

it seems like magnacharger isn't as popular as saleen, whipple, and kb when it comes to twin screws, why is that?

does anybody have a picture of an engine compartment with the polished whipple?

Magnacharger is a roots blower, not a twin screw. Not nearly as efficient. I don't have any pics of a polished Whipple, but I'd like to add that Whipples are available in custom colors for the same price as the polished version....$300 extra.
