Whipple
I still prefer the Whipple over the KB. I just don't like the placement of the intake tract of the KB unit. I think the units are virtually identical as far as power potential. The KB unit looks like it was thrown on instead of being engineered for the S197. Of course if you want it NOW there is really only one choice.
yeah KB is still using the intake position of former mustangs and to me i do not like it because there is just a big hole on one side of the engine bay...if they would have kept the factory side then i would have gone with a KB instead of a whipple on my choice...but i also like that Whipple worked with Ford on the SC design
Actually the the placement of the Kenne Bell filter is the best place for it, its COLD AIR outside of the engine bay, the hole that is cut is not that much bigger than the whats already there, its just getting past the cutting, drilling, bending ect. ect. of anything on our new Mustangs that some people have a hard time with. When we bought our Cars new we wouldn,t let anybody near it and as time passes we ease up a bit. same goes for mods I think, I love modding but am trying to stick to bolt ons as much as possible if I ever want to bring it back to stock but who knows by next year It might be tubbed out with a blown 514ci big block

I'm not getting a commission from Kenne Bell to hype their blowers, so it doesn't really matter to me what blower someone gets. If someone wants to drop 5 or 6 large on a SC that draws in hot engine air, that's certainly their perogative. And I wish them nothing but good luck... seriously.

"I swear, sir, I don't know how that 10.4 ET happened!"But seriously, I was not looking to build an ultra-high horsepower race car. In fact, my goal is the exact opposite. Most of you know that dyno numbers are irrelevant to me... I just really don't care about dyno numbers. What's important to me are ETs; not being a dyno queen. I want my daily driver to run in the mid 11s (and mid 7s in the 1/8) with as little HP as possible. If I can run those ETs with less than 450rwhp (and no more than 10psi boost), then I'll be extremely happy!!

. If its more than there suggested retail on there website than I'll prolly go with Kenny Bell, these things cost too much as it is.
I've seen pricing on a few websites for the kit...Looks like about 5 grand for the 8psi intercooled. I'd assume its around there? How are these places getting the price for it if pricing is the main holdup?
