The Roush is not technically warrantied...by Ford.
Roush picks up the power train warranty portion.... SO....

If you get it done at a Roush/Ford Dealership... it's all good.

You have your warranty covered completely, but its who picks up what that is different. Roush=powertrain.... Ford=the rest

Roush developed it with Ford and made it within specs that they agreed with and would give the thumbs up to.

I can see them doing this as well with FRPP and will warranty the Super Pack.
(Maybe not the whipple kit which may be putting out too much power to be under that warranty umbrella... much like Roush's upgraded pulley kit, which IS NOT covered under warranty and adds 40-50hp if I remember correctly)

Saleens SC is also covered because it is only pushing around 5psi but if you want the SC off of the S281E then Saleen HAS TO pick up the warrenty because it is too much power

LOL....Um, No! The S281E uses the same supercharger as the S281. The pulley is the only difference in the S/C. There are several other big differences (Forged Shortblock) but I won't get into that.
I don't know of any Saleen warrantees for S/C that were placed on regular GT mustangs. I'm not saying it is impossible, but Ford won't honor the warranty and neither will Saleen. So, maybe, a performance oriented dealership could go out on a limb and do this.

Yeah, the Roush was the ONLY one that would flat out pick up the warranty.

You may have Saleen/Ford dealerships that are willing to warranty it themselves....but that is up to the individual dealership.
UNLESS you buy an S281...which the Saleen dealership will warranty.

Something tells me the 4lb will be the FR4
but with the ablilty to go 11lbs on it, makes way for some interesting things if you want to up the boost later on....

my mistake not 4 psi but 6 psi
it probabaly is the FR4 but the book identifies it as FR Super Pack.
- fits 05-07 GT manual Transmission only
pack includes;
140ci twin screw SC assembly M463P (polished) m463V (black)/4.6l 3-valve aluminum intake manifold and water crossover pipe/hi flow air intake tube/open element air filter/95mm mass air meter/accessory drive belt/32lbs/hr ford GT injectors/zero degree FRP spark plugs M-12405-3VO/all installation harware and gaskets.
-Premium gas only
-includes the Pro-Cal tool with official ford racing calibration (register online to receive tool in the mail)
-SC raises engine output to 400hp with approx 6psi of boost
-big boost kit raises engine output to 500hp with approx 11psi of boost (available 2007)

above info straight out of the brochure

Pete..that rocks..thanks for the info..
FINALLY some updated news on the FR Super Pak

Something tells me it'll be more than 400hp ...
The Roush kit is putting out 415-425 on a Roots blower @ 4-5 PSI
Then again... it's intercooled as well.

Now is the kit available in 2007 or just the 11psi big boost kit
No intercooler? or fuel pump?
Maybe thats in the big boost kit.

And did it say anything about warranty?
I'm guessing just the 5-6psi kit will be...and not the 500hp big boost kit

glad to share the info. no mentionof warranty whatsoever except for the disclaimer in the bottom of the book which says: " unless expressly specified to the contrary, ford racing performance parts and vehicles are sold "as is" "with all faults", "as they stand" and without any express warranty whatsoever."
and it goes on to .....
i did ask the guy at the booth in passing and he said warranty on the blower but none but nothing on the powertrain.. didnt ask about release date/availability

I'll be pissed...if they go back on their word

Get all the hopes up and then be pigs about it.

Guess they don't have much faith in their product as much as Roush.. considering they are willing to pick up the power train.

We'll see... i'm waiting on official word....

Makes sense. Of course, if no warranty is offered, I think the KB 2.6L kit would be the best bet.
