Yeah, whine is not as important considering the price and performance, but I know that the previous Kenne Bell kits are loud. Which happens to be the kit I'm interested in getting.

HI Sonic Brew,
Have you had a Kenne Bell kit in the past? Just curious because I have and the one thing they are not was loud. Twin screw superchargers like Kenne Bell turn way less rpm then the centrificals out there and are very quiet in comparison. I have own 2 Kenne Bells in the past 10 years and the last thing I would call them is loud.

i heard a 00-04 cobra on streetfire.net, the whine was insane. I love the whine, most superchargers have about the same performance. about the same cost as well
thanks for your help

Ditto - haven't owned but on the Two Guys Garage, they ran that 05 hard on the dyno and in and out of their driveway and I barely heard ANYTHING at all.....
BTW - the Saleen is the same type of setup - I take it it doesn;t whine like the procharger and Vortech???

I have never owned a superchager, let alone a kenne bell, but from the videos I have seen at least the 03-04 cobras, they where pretty loud.
But since you guys have had experience with them, I'll take your word.

Sonic Brew,
I do agree with you that 03/04 Cobra's are pretty loud or whine pretty good. They do not run a Kenne Bell supercharger. I know they look very similar from the outside but are very different on the inside. Cobra's use a roots style blower instead of the twin screw design and are quite noisy in comparason to the Kenne Bell or Saleen style.
