What is the biggest "realistic" size that will fit our '05s? I was able to squeeze an 18x12 on my Z06, but the problem was the Pilot Sports were not any better than the stock F1's.

What size wheel/tire have some of you gone with? I'm thinking about black with a large polished lip...

I have 275/50-17 Nitto on 17x9's on mine. The problem is getting the correct offset/backspacing for anything wider than 9".

Ive got a 245/45/19. The overall diameter is about half an inch over stock. I still think there is room to go taller, specially in the back.

BTW, I just heard about this link today. It's pretty cool. http://www.powerdog.com/tiresize.cgi

Copy and paste these sizes into it as a test (these are the stock size, and the three sizes mentioned above). Then play around with other sizes.

235/55-17
255/45-18
275/50-17
245/45-19

I think he's asking about width.

As far as that goes I think the widest anyone has gone is with an 18x10 in the rear. I believe this was with 285's.

I tried a Nitto 295/55/18 on a 18 X 10 Smooth II with +40 offset. Stock height, it did not rub, but it stuck out at least 1/2" to 3/4". A deeper offset may have tucked it under. That would have required a custom wheel and I did not want to be stuck with it if I didn't like it. Looked like a matchbox muscle car. Took off, did not buy, going 18X9 all the round. Waiting for second deliveryof wheels.

I have 285/30/20 on mine, but the profile looks too small. I am sure that a 295, or 305 could fit, but...I can not find a tire maker for 20" you may have better luck with 18's or 19's

To calculate tire diam:
Diameter = {[(Width x Aspect Ratio)/2540] x 2} + wheel diam

My wheels/tires are:
Front 19x9, +35mm, 275/35-19
Rear 19x10, +45mm, 295/35-19
Fits within wheel wells. No rub (F or R) even under agressive driving
