After the 05s are released, do you think the 04 models will have a drastic price drop? I already see the huge rebates on th 04s, but do you think they will be very affordable after the 05s come out. This year is different, because the 04s will not be replaced with the same body style, but something completely new. I figure that since everyone will start wanting the 05s the 04s will be very hard for dealerships to move. How big of a price drop are we looking at in say January?

hmmm- your question got me to thinking.... do you think the 05's will be any cheaper in january..... once the year rolls around to be actually 05..... its not like it is now whereas its not 05 yet.... do you think it would be cheaper to buy an 05 now or after january.... as for an answer to your question- i think there will be a significant price drop in the 04's... there always is when there's a new vehicle- but then again- who knows...

Good question, and I hope your logic/asumption is correct about price drops/rebates after January 2005. That's when I plan to pay cash for my Premium GT.

Good question..here in canada they have ad for V6 coupe at $19,995

http://www.ford.ca/main/default.asp?langua...s&model=Mustang

I thinking when 2005 comes out, maybe another 10% off that price too?
Maybe if you wait till winter,im sure some 2004 will still be on some lots, and the dealers will be desperate to unload them...

That is a bad price, the cheapest I have seen for a GT sticker is $18,490. Which I was very close to buying.

No, that's a GREAT price! $19,995 in CANADIAN dollars is equal to $15,163.81 in US dollars.

Oh yeah, I did not think about that, those crazy Canadians and their crazy money. Sorry for the wrong assumption.

Yes, isn't it crazy that there's something else than U.S. Dollars... really weird, how do they dare to have their own currency?

Funny because all 04's here in Edmonton, Canada have like $5-7000 taken off them back at the end of June and they still have that. I'm talking all models too including Cobra's. So here you're seeing more and more Cobra's rolling off dealers lots. Here a Cobra would normally set a person back about $33-35,000. But now they are like only $26-28,000. Mach 1's are about $24ish now and GT's are about $22ish, and as stated above there are v6's that are for like $20,000 here.

What can I say other then it's a great time to buy a Mustang. Oh and I can only imagine how much the 04's will cost once the '05s hit dealers lots. All I know is that they are going to be darn cheap!

didn't Ford offer $4,000 off on remaining '03s the beginning of this year? If that's the case I might be tempted to go for a Mach!

Dunno.. but if you like white V6's you'll be in luck.. majority of the last 04's built were just that.

FWIW, I've just started pricing an '04 Cobra.

The very first quote I received was $28,600 including the $695 chrome
wheel option, and we haven't started haggling yet.

I haven't decided between an '04 Cobra, an '04 Mach 1 if I can
find one, an '05 GT, or an 05 1/2 SE.

It's a great time to be shopping for a Mustang :)
