I think you can get the BMR in different colors, well, I know you can atleast choose between black or red. I forget about the other colors.

If BMR has a booth at FFW in Orlando, I'll be picking up a set of red ones. If they're not there, then I'll get them at NMRA in Bradenton a week later. I'll be sure and post pics of the installation process

Excellent! This mod just moved to the top of the list. $120 for the BMR lca's to eliminate wheel hop is too good a deal to wait on.

And don't forget MMR as well. They have a nice looking set in the same money ranges as the others (except no billett). Only Steeda appears to make those.

What do you all think of this quote from the April 2005 Road & Track magazine road test of a stock '05 GT 5-speed?

"With clean wheelspin invoking not the slightest bit of axle tramp, the GT reaches 60 in just 4.9 sec. - with a healthy chirp on the 1-2 shift - and charges through the quarter-mile in 13.5, both times an eye-popping 0.4 sec. quicker than our original road test car's [December 2004 issue]."

What could be the reason that some cars experience wheel hop with the stock suspension, while others don't? Is it driver technique, differences between the cars, or maybe track surface?

Zillions of variables. Launch RPM, smoothness, technique over the first 60 feet, tire pressure, track conditions/surface. I would say the fact that a lot of people have experienced it is pretty solid evidence that it's likely to happen and that it can be easily cured B)

Auto vs Stick is a big one!

I haven't seen an Auto owner yet say they have wheel hop.

Stands to reason too, The torque converter pretty much eats up a lot of energy preventing wheel hop from happening.

JOHN / BRYAN do you have wheel hop with your autos? Tony maybe its that

torque management thing without a tune. If they don't spin they don't hop?

The Road & Track test was done with manufacturer's recommended tire pressure, so you can discard that variable.

Yes, I believe those who say it can be cured with the aftermarket control arms. But like you say, and R&T claims, it may be possible to launch hard and get a good run with the stock setup and tire pressure, and no wheel hop.

Can those who are able to launch smoothly and get a nice run like R&T without wheel hop, please explain their technique and launch RPM?

Has anyone found the Steeda 555-4405 Billet Rear Trailing Arms for less than $359.99? If so, where? Does anyone have a copy of the installation instructions they could either post or email to me? I assume the arms include the bushings?

Now that mine have arrived I'll post the answers:

Part Shopper offers the Steeda 555-4405 Billet Rear Trailing Arms for $341.99 with coupon code "stangnet"

Yes they include the bushings

So if there was ONE and ONLY one mod to eliminate wheel hop, this is the one?

Part number 555-4416? Did a search on the Steeda site and could not find. Can someone help me out with a link?

Time would be much appreciated! This is the FIRST mod I want to do, I cannot stand wheel hop! This thing rattles my dash! Geez, the Ford documents say the stock setup eliminates wheel hop... What a joke! LOL!
