Whats this for? new driveshaft hit it when lowered
I just had eibach spring, BMR adjustable UCA, BMR adjustable panhard, and BMR Driveshaft loop installed. I already installed the Coast Driveshaft, and when they lowered it with the springs the driveshaft was hitting this bracket, so it was removed. The bracket was above the driveshaft. I put a pen in the photo for size reference. Just wondering if anyone knows what it is and if it matters to much that its now gone?

Interesting that it would hit after lowering. When you lower the car, the drive shaft angle will decrease (acle move up relative to the chassis), moving it further from that crossover (i,e, more clearance) ... unless the pinion nose is now too low, which would increase the drive shaft angel ...

It's a tunnel brace
It's Fords version of the tunnel brace for the GT's only..i replaced mine awhile back with BMR's unit. It strengthens the Chassis...i doubt factory one does too much...i wouldn't worry

Cool, I did put on BMR's Front Driveshaft loop, which goes across the tunnel as well, but up in the front. So it probably doesn't make too much difference that this is gone.

My 07 didn't have it. I put my driveshaft in myself and unless mine fell off driving down the road, mine didn't come with it. Funny thing though, I just had my car up on a lift earlier today and I went under and looked (after seeing this thread) and the holes are there, but nothing was put there.
