What's with the Hurst website?

I understand that they have been bought out by B&M, but the website should be back up by now. Don't they want to sell some product?

I'm sure that the website being down isnt hurting sales. It takes a few weeks to design a nice website with all of the updated numbers, about us, etc. And that's rushing it. So they're not due to have a website for maybe another 2 weeks or so.

We're working on it now.. Basically it was all inter-twined with the Mr Gasket website and its a bit of a process to remove everything and freshen it up a bit.. We're giving it a re-vamped look !

Make it so when you click "buy now" it forwards you to www.TillmanSpeed.com That would be sick-ness.

Yes, Chris from B&M (SubZero) above is developing it. It's in the works, the acquisition of Hurst just threw them off temporarily. That thing is sick. I'm going to order quite a few when they're available!

How will the new shifter be different from the current one?

I had an oportunity to feel the hurst in a Shelby GT at the Chicago Auto show and it was GREAT! I know other complain about notchiness but I loved how positive it felt. I like the snick, snick of teh Hurst!

Are you talking about the billet plus manual shifter from Hurst or the Auto shifter from B&M?..neither one is released yet. We still don't even know how far the Gasket people got on the billet plus unit?..There are none in our shipments, no proto pieces...nothin!..Believe me, if there was it would already be in my car. Once I know more on the Billet plus series for our cars I will let everyone know

Thanks for the update. I'm looking at replacing my noisy Roush shifter with a Hurst Comp. Plus. Is there a longer handle available?

I'd like a price on the "regular" Hurst Comp. Plus Shifter. Is a longer handle an option with that particular shifter?

Yes we carry FRPP gears in stock and installation kits as well.

As far as the shifter goes, $179.99 on that for the Hurst Competition shifter. I love it! We've installed many of them, and they sit nice, feel nice, and are VERY short! Great for street. You won't hear that from too many people. Most are biased towards the steeda. The Steeda is a very nice unit, but I just like the Hurst for street.

We can always put a taller handle on there. I would take a look and make sure you really want one first... find a picture of what it looks like in the car... I had one, but its really not detailed at all.

Yes, the Hurst comp plus shifters are designed so you can put a taller handle, slightly bent stick, straight one etc. on the shifter itself.

Here are some pics of my car with the taller handle...hope this helps. The taller handle is very user friendly , much easier to shift( more leverage) , 3" throw vs 2" with Hurst, and 4" with stock...also easier to manuever your coffee cup, LOL!
It is 2" higher, and back 1" closer to the driver. I think it looks much more retro than stock Hurst handle, and that is the theme of my car so I love it!
Now if only my Silverhorse flush mounted killer quarter window louvers would get here...CANT WAIT.
