So I ordered a airaid race cai and have to send in my desired tunes. Basically my Mustang is a DD, very very rarely go to track(may go once just to see). I'm running 93 tune stock now and it's pretty good.

I'm thinking 87 performance in case I need to go back down. 93 race and 93 performance. I heard 93 race is more power 4k rpm an up an performance pulls a little harder in lower rpms.

Basically I want my car to just tear it up around town, not worried about track times. My biggest thrill is 0-60 and throw you back in your seat speed. What do you guys recommend for giving me those results? I thanks

IMO, tuning and retuning all the time is dumb and a waste of time. Go 93 race and leave it alone.

Exactly, I don't want to have to retune. I want that one tune for raw torque from the get go. So in a sense I was asking, race or performance? Cause I heard on other forums race is more high end torque whereas performance is low end. Which sounds like my ideal tune but I thought race was the most powerful with its timing, etc.

Yea I got that feeling at first but in reality race has the most *****. Run race 93 first though. Hard to get a good feel if you start with the middle tune.

Just do 93 Race, the other two hold back.

If extra tunes are included, keep an 89 on the device in case someone messes up and puts the wrong octane in there.

I run the 93 race all the time also but if I am going on a trip of more that 100 miles or so I install the performance tune. Thats why I suggested doing that. I wouldn't change it for a short trip just because I was getting on the highway.

I live in CA and we don't have 93 gas here, so how much of a difference is there between the 91 and 93 race tunes?

Just ordered what I stated in the OP. I absolutely cannot wait!! I'll start with the 93 race though. But if I'm gonna be paying the premium gas, it seems smart to just go for the race and go all out.

All I gotta say is wow! Adding the cai with a 93 race tune is absolutely amazing. The difference is very noticeable.

But now I'm wanting more power lol any suggestions for next performance mod? I've thought about throttle body cause I've read that's an additional 20-25 HP and easy do it yourself installation. Or maybe gears?

Unless you have a blower a TB is gonna be a waste of money. Gears and exhaust are gonna be what's next. I have 410s and they're amazing. Don't even think about shorties because they're useless. But anyway, congrats on catchin the bug. Say goodbye to the extra money you used to have lol

I picked up a TB because I found it for a great deal used, I don't think I gained any power but the improved response is fun. I don't know what the emissions testing is like in your area, but going with an offroad midpipe will get you some quick & cheap gains. Just don't snap those exhaust manifold bolts getting it on if you DIY

4.10 gears are a great mod too but you definitely have to take that to a pro.

That's the only way to get em from what authorities have told me. You got it from a guy on here didn't you?

Yeah, I picked it up from B1gp1mp1n. I'm the third owner of this TB, lol. Runs great though - all the calibration was already done for me when I got it.
