G'day Guys,

My new wheels are set to be with me soon 9x20 & 10x20 so I need to source some decent tyres, before I hunt for the wrong ones please can anyone who had there stang lowered by 1.5" (think my SGT is like that) or so recommend what size to go for. Would like to stay away from the rubber band look. Would you also like to mention what tyre brand is best for general driving.

I had a quick look & can see (f) 255 & (r) 285 have been mentioned also 275 all round by some members but would like to keep the ratio to 35 or even 40 to help with the bumps & lumps!

As I'm going for the staggered look I would like the widest tyres I can get on the rear...not overly bothered about the front other than to avoid the train track feel...

see my sig I wish I could have been able to aford wider tires on the rear but they do look alright.

 

Are you saying 285/295 or even 305 would look best?

 

imo YES and of course you will have more traction from the get go

 

275's all around are best in my opinion. You can run them with no spacers and rotate them normally. I have been running them for maybe 6 years with no rubbing or any issues.

 

I went with 285/30/20 out back and 255/35/20 in the front. No issues with the hankooks evo on ma roads none then less. No complaints

 

but you only put 60 miles or so on them in that 6 years

275/35 front, 295/35 rear

 

I have 255-35-20 front 285-30-20 rear nitto nt555 the side walls are perfect match from front and rear and does not look like a low profile or too big of a side wall. They grip and go over bumps very well.

Should get no rubbing & I gather it's gonna look OK on a 10" rim

yes but our average pay in the UK is about $40,000 so in comparison now what to you think...Also I best them tyres would cost a lot less % wise in the States
