What Mufflers are you using with Long Tubes
I just installed JBA Long Tubes Headers with JBA Catted H pipes and left my MAC Axle Back Mufflers (I love the way they sound) until now.. Way Too Loud, My Home owners association stopped me from driving my car before 9 am I go to work at 6am
so I removed my MACs and installed the Stock Mufflers, wel now it sounds like crap and I lost power. I want to swap out for a different muffler and I am thinking Magnaflow or JBA because they are louder than stock mufflers on a stock exhaust will they sound nice on Long Tubes? what are your setups..
I amd looking for medium loudness, deep tone no rasp.

I have the FRPP (Borla) Stingers on mine and love the sound.
No complaints from the neighbors, yet.
If you are within legal limits (and within the limits that the Home Owners Assoc has setup), there is nothing that they can do. Perhaps try to get on the HA board and address fix the problems.

ok here it comes....wait for it...Waaaaait for it:
Cherry bombs.
sounds stupid, yes. but I gave it a try, and it sounds GREAT! I mounted them just after the h-pipe. they are welded in and it works out well. they sound nice and smooth at low rpm, and get really tough when you get on it.
let the flaming begin....

hahahaha, Faber, get some sound clips up.
Borla Stingers here with my AR L/Ts and catted H-pipe! LOVE THEM LOVE THEM!!! I know what they mean by loud, as I registered 105 dbs on a decible reader!! I would tell them to bite the big one. What can they do? They can't make you stop driving your car, as you have to work. I would have a sitdown meeting with the president.
Thats the joy of HOAs, even if they don't have a specific decible number, they usually have a catch "all annoying your neighbors" clause. But I would try the GTAs, all I have heard is they are louder than stock but not as loud as the Macs.
My solution is this...Take off the mufflers and run with no axleback for a while- then they will freak out and say this is way too loud. At this point in time, you will put the Macs back on and they will think your quiet again! Problem solved!
