I'm still all stock as far as engine trans and rear end go. Mixed driving on the way to work I get just under 22 short trips drop that down to just under 20. To much driving to and from werk BLA

I get 26 on the freeway. Would love to make it more if possible.

Going with an FI setup and tune actually helps get better milage? If that's the case, then it's all the excuse I need to get a blower.

I'm with you on that one! I was humming and haing (Ha-ing) (is that even a word?) BUT if I can get better mileage, and more giddy-up, well hell, let's GIT-R-DUN, eh? (I'm Canadian... I had to throw that in)

Yes, I went from 14 city with just the cai/tune to 19 city 28 highway with the supercharger setup. I don't get it either but I don't need to get it

When the exhaust valves open, the piston is still pressurized. If you could continue to expand the piston down to atmospheric pressure, you would indeed get more efficiency from your engine, but the Otto Cycle just doesn't work that way. By placing a turbine in the exhaust stream, you can capture some of that pressurized gas to do work to load the next charge in, effectively reducing the pumping horsepower of your engine. Superchargers are most efficient at a particular design speed, so it depends on the turbine design speed as to what would be the best for economy. Typically, you would get your best mileage with a trip over a Mountain pass (up under load, and then coasting down).

Seems its SCT's new "Economizer" flash tool - a rebranded SCT X-Cal III with a bunch of green marketing hype: http://sctflash.com/Economizer.php Pffftt.. somebody's been studying in the PR department at SCT.

Narrower tires yes, smaller patch of rolling resistance. i went from 235/55/17 to 275/40/19s and lost 1 mpg. After the car show season, the factorys go back on!
The reason you lost 1 mpg is because your 19" wheels weigh a ton more than the 17's, not because the tire is wider.

Why were you speed shifting into 5th gear?!?
