my tune was done by JDM ENGINEERING in freehold,nj. there were 2 reasons why i have a better tune. 1. my first tune was not 100% right meaning this was the first automatic 05 gt he worked and that i didnt give him the time to finish up the job due to being my fault being i needed the car back. i was told to bring back the car to be check it out later . 2. my second tune was due also because my jlt was to be installed by JDM. he made the corrections and now the car shifts better and harder through the 1/4 mile. ill be at the track thursday to see the results. my car is an automatic and in my opinion the dyno # aren't to bad with the 3 mods i made. stock dyno # 254 hp/268 tq.....auto #'s are lower then the 5 speed which are about 267hp/291tq stock.

elvism, My tuner told me that I should keep tire presure at about 28 and not to just punch the Auto from the line, but to ease into it. If you go too low it will hurt your time. He is the president of the Lighting club here so I will give his advice a try. I will try that the next time I head to the track to run the car. I had planned to go last Sunday night, but the weather here had other ideas.

Are you getting alot of wheel spin? Mine's not. I can get a long burn out if I want to but my traction off the line has been good. This thing really hooks up well.

Wish you luck on Thursday.

Steve

Mike, for me, and I've tried it at just about every tire psi, keeping it at stock psi (36) worked just as good, if not better, than any other. I was on stock rubber for awhile. I started testing at 30 and decreased by 5 psi. I saw no increase in 60' times so I went back to 30 and increased by 2 psi. You may want to ask bryanzstang. I believe he's cutting great 60' times, still on stock rubber.

When I ran last November, I did absolutely nothing with tire pressure,
just went and staged after arriving at track.

Some people say to increase the pressure of the front tires to decrease rolling resistance.

Is tuning that JDM ENGINEERING does done for a SCT tuner or Predator tuner? I would like to get my car properly tuned(loose the canned tune) and would like to be able to keep it in my Predator.

This is good info to know. I thought that since the stock rubber is only 235, that it wouldn't help all that much to let a bunch of air out. It's not gonna make the contact patch all that greater.
