Thanks for the warm welcome guys...
I drove the crap out of it today. I took it over to my Uncle's house (he used to own a 69 Boss 302--I think that's what it was). I tossed him the keys, but he told me to slow down and seemed more interested in what was going on underneath the hood. Then he had his head underneath the quarter panel looking at the suspension, exhaust, and God knows what else. I told him to go get his glasses so he could take it for a spin and he strutted into the house like he was 20 years old again (the guy is pushing 70).
I finally talked him into putting it in gear after he sat listening to the exhaust and playing with the automatic seat adjustment for awhile. The only problem was that he was shifting at 1500 RPMs and had it in 3rd gear before we hit the corner only going about 20mph! Once, I coaxed him into getting the RPMs up to about 4000 in 2nd gear and he started giggling and saying "yup, a lot of power." But serously, he did have a hard time adjusting to the Tremec stick shift. He kept putting it in 3rd gear instead of 1st and stalled it at a green light. Once he got the hang of the stick and how much gas to give it before he let the clutch out he got a little more brave.
After growing up and listening to all my Uncle's Mustang/Mopar stories from the 60s, it was a real treat to share my 07 GT with him and bring it back full circle. The last thing he said to me before I left two black stripes in front of his house was, "Bring it back when you get those 4.10s and headers. It will be a completely different car."
Today was one of those days I fantasized about when I was twelve. Carpe Diem.
Anyway, I still had to get a ride to pick up my CRX which I left at the dealer yesterday. By the time I got back it was dark again.
Pics coming tomorrow...I promise!

I think just about everyone that gets this car has some type of moment like you and your Uncle. I drove mine to Colorado 2 months after I bought it to show my Dad who is a gearhead to the max. He loved driving it too, but unlike your Uncle, he's 50 and drove mine like he had stolen it!

Man, she's a pretty one! Congrats!!!!! As I ordered mine last Monday, I'm very jealous.
I'm considering the GTAs and X-pipe as well. Let me know how that works out.
Who is going to install your FR parts?
EDIT: I notice by the plate that you're in (or near) Whittier...hopefully we'll link up at some event soon.

The dealership I bought my car from is a Certified Ford Motorsport service center. The dealership said if I bought all the Ford Racing Parts at the time of purchase (on the same invoice as the car sale) and have it all installed through them; it would be covered under the warranty and not void my 5 year 60,000 mile and 3 year bumper-to-bumper warranty.
When they said that I was throwing my wallet at them and was ready to put everything on it but the kitchen sink.
Nevertheless, I made them promise to put it in writing and give me back my stock parts just in case I want to sell it later on or have emissions trouble.

Went down to the dealership today to pick up my "Free Oil Change for a Lifetime" VIP card and found out my Ford Racing parts order will barely be placed tomorrow.
Anyway, the parts should be in by next Monday and then they can start installing my stuff. I can't wait until it's done because I'm already getting used to the stock HP and want more!
Meanwhile, I picked up a pair of license plate frames today and a Ford Racing hat so I can represent...
