Is the dealer fix for tight posi now being installed in production cars, I was reading a post the other day about a guy who did a couple of hard takeoffs and now is having all kinds of problems and noises from his rear. I know they had that tight posi problem and Ford had a replacement posi unit with thinner clutch plates, would it be normal for them to start using the "fix" on production cars so as to avoid the problem...........Personally, I want the original tight posi unit!!!
Does anybody have the answer, I am still waiting for them to build me a car and I am worried what I will have for a rear end by then.
Thanks in advance.

There was a long thread about this a while ago. I think it was agreed that the factory is still putting the same rear end in (no thin plates).

I'm starting to get a slight whine/buzz coming from the rear end. It almost sounds like the a/c fan and I only hear it when I am moving. Any one know what that could be?
