I just got off the phone with McCrackin Ford here in Pittsburgh... as long as they do the install they will not void your warranty for aftermarket upgrades, including superchargers! The down side is they're not cheap.. the Saleen SC kit and install was quoted as $7900.00.

Sweet. I would have gone through them but no X-Plan.

Did they do any of your mods?

I tried purchasing from McCrackin Ford, that's where I bought my 2000, but they wanted $3,000 over sticker last November and wouldn't budge.

They really are a good dealer though.

The big question is if they got the car from Ford or from another dealer. I spent some time talking to a very cool salesman that explained what was going on with their Mustang pricing. The cars they actually get from Ford (like the 3 Tungstens I looked at) are sold at MSRP. The cars they mark up are ones they got from other dealers and had to pay a premium for to get them on the lot.

It's possible this was BS, but I'll be stopping out to see the Tungsten stangs in the sun this weekend (assuming it doesn't rain) and they should be on the lot by then so I'll know for sure one way or the other (the cars were still in their back storage lot and not out on display yet when I stopped out earlier in the week).

I called there too in the begining (August). The lady told me the 05's would not be out until Jan. I called to Tom Clark Ford and the guy had one for me in a couple weeks.

I know Phil McCrakin is the president of the Mustang Club in Pittsburgh.
