I purchased a sold but never installed polished HO vortech kit for my 05 mustang and just got it today. My issue is it turns out it is a version 1 vortech v2 non sq model (they are now on 4), and is before they added the add on fuel pump (has the replacement) or the MAFI (has the extention wires like the standard kit has now). When i called vortech they were not to excited to work with me and basically told me to update the kit before using it, and it wouldn't even work the way it is. I was told I need to get a MAFI, fuel pump, and a custom tune before installing it. Anyone have any experience/advice on this?
