Here is a link to the article, I have also attached the dyno sheet. To all those that said Vortechs don't make power down low, notice the car is making 320 ft/lbs. of torque at 2800 rpm.

yeah i heard about that from them at the show my car was at.They were basically just trying to find out how much the motor could handle with race gas and custom programming on a dyno. They do not have intentions of releasing this type of kit for everyday use, since it is not going to last long in terms of drivability as indicated by them.Fun stuff no doubt!...I love my vortech kit pushing 420 at the tire =)

Anyone check out the "Flat Out" acceleration test in the Sept. issue of Road & Track? They lined up a bunch of exotic hardware for a standing mile speed test. They had a Vortech powered '05 Mustang running at 16 psi. and putting down 575 bhp. The thing only ran the 1/4 mile in 12.9, but at 120.6 mph! Even with the poor start, it finished the standing mile at 179.0 mph. Faster than a Ford GT (171.4) and a Viper SRT-10 (159.7), among others. At the end of the mile, the Vortech 'Stang was pulling harder (more G's) than any other vehicle in the test, which included a MV Agusta F4-1000 motorcycle and cars from Ruf, Hennessey, Lola and other outrageous people. Check it out, pretty good stuff!

You are incorrect. The internals of the motor were stock.

Actually considering the 552 is wheel horsepower and the 600HP was an engine on a stand that's pretty freaking good. That 600 would work out to about 500RWHP on an actual car.

I am all for turbos, since they are more efficient, but on a stock block they are a waste. A supercharger will make 450rwhp(which IMO is about as much power I would safely run), is cheaper, and easier to install.

Well...I am the marketing manager...anyway... we were going to go with an all out crazy motor swap, but time did not permit. I think we accomplished a heck of a feat...

You accomplished a heck of a feat no doubt!.. You get all the props in the world from me, but Mr.Cormesi indicated differently with regards to the motor. No matter really if it did or didn't because I have always loved your products. And in fact if it did have stock stuff then more power to you guys and he just had some mis-information that I received.Your kits are always top notch and I always tout the kit highly as I am sure you have seen had you been around here for awhile.

That's Cormaci...Anyway I just want to make sure the facts are straight. Considering on the page it says "100% Stock OEM engine". You know how these forums are..you say one thing here and another thing there and all heck breaks loose. :bang:
