Well right now I can tell you which one seems faster, and also which one seems stronger.

The Vortech seems faster, just because at 3500-4000rpm it starts to pull really hard, seemingly moving you faster and faster.

The Saleen seems stronger, because it will smoke the tires at basically any point, basically any RPM in the first 3 gears. And then 4th and 5th just beg you to leave it hammered.

At the strip where there's a clock that doesn't lie: well, who knows.

Nice set up Tom!
I know what you are talking about.
I did the install a few weeks back with a 3.4 Pulley.
Pulls hard thru all gears.

Can't wait to see your times Tom!

Anyone want to start a pool on how long it takes Tom to swap the Saleen and run a Turbo?

Nice, Tom. All this with the stock engine? Worried?

I'm not terribly worried....... If I was much over 450/450 then I would be. Brenspeed and other big tuners notably JDM, have had very good luck with Saleens in regards to engine failures.

stock block should be fine to about 450 or so, which is where he's at. I wouldnt go any further on it. I think the next mod should be forged internals, then more boost...

Yes..... hopefully it will hold up for a while. When I do a replacement, it will probably be a Spec unit along with a 26 spline upgrade.

I swapped hoods with a dude.... I got his '07 hood and he got my '06 hood and what was left of my shaker- I had pretty much cut up most of it. I am adding a Roush scoop to the new hood.

Welcome to torque on demand. My GT500 feels way stronger than my D1SC procharged GT did. I was making 523rwhp and 493rwtq with the GT and the GT500 should be somewhere around 450rwhp and 430rwtq? And it feels way faster than the GT was.
