If and when I ever do a blower, I'm just going to build the bottom end. I know myself too well, I'll keep wanting more...

Good Luck with it

Hope it stays together for you for as many miles as you want it too!

Looks like someone's rooting for my engine to blow up. Good job being a douche.

But yeah, the hp needs to be toned down. Both Greg and I were surprised at the numbers and had no plans of going very far over the 428 that it had. I have no problem going back to it. It was plenty of power.

Hey, I guess I'll just take comfort in knowing I can still walk all over the "Intake and Exhaust" guys.

Kris, who painted your Stang and do you have any more shots of it in more light ?

Local dealership painted the body kit and did a cut and color sand on it. The graphics are from APE Wraps. www.apewraps.com and are actually a really fine vinyl. I designed the paint scheme and they applied it.

Let me find some more pics....

Thats my thoughts as well. My plan after the bolt on's is to do a head cam setup and while its all apart build up the internals. Then a blower....I would lke 5-600 to the ground and safe

That sucker sounds good

Aye Carumba! I've seen some decent wraps before, but that's off the hook

Did you actually do the template yourself? If so, you wouldn't happen to have a copy would you? (The template, not the design itself).

Sorry, no template...I designed the graphics and did a rendering like those I do for my customers (www.carsbykris.com) and they worked out how to fit it all on there.

How much did the wrap run, BTW? You're giving me evil thoughts!

Wow Kris,

That is the best looking 05 I have seen... It like it much better than the others I haveseen including the two Foose designs...

I want a duck tail so bad, I have been working on one out of aluminum to fit in the stock holes ( one piece design ), but FORD put the freeking holes so @^$#@*&5 far up the trunk lid, it is difficult to find the right blend angle to make it look right...

Anyway, great job....

Very nice looking car!!!!

Is it just me or is most of the upgraders (Roush, Saleen, CS) using roots type blowers, so as to not blow up the car? They are keeping the boost down to safe levels. NO more than 400-425 rwhp. Wasn't there a article that on higher boost levels, even aftermarket fuelpumps cannot keep up the fuel pressure at those levels.

IMHO

Interesting thread over at MPH about inaccurate wideband readings. Tune could be spot on safe according to the equipment, yet the motor could let go due to poor data. Scary and frustrating for tuners. http://forums.modularpowerhouse.com/showth...ighlight=sensor

FWIW, the boosted Machs over at MPH seem to be "safe" in the 420-450rwhp. Don't we have very similar rotating assemblies?

Kris, you have a real nice setup . I would leave it as is. If the tune is right and safe A/F and not running out of fuel (gauges ?)you should get alot of fun miles. If you drive it WOT 24 7 it will probably not last. For all the stories of blown engines, there are many running around with no problems. It kind of seems like 2 blown motors cancels out a 100 running hard and strong.

There are alot more than 2. Just 2 that you publically hear about. Call some of the shops using S/C and ask them how mnay as 05 281's are sitting on the floor - blown.

2005 RedGt, I understand you lost your motor. Very sorry. That does not mean however that everyone who adds a blower to their 05 will blow theirs. Not wanting to argue but I would like to see if all these wasted motors were tuned right and how they were driven.
Bottom line is I just can't see telling a guy who has already spent the time and money to modify his stang that it is going to blow.

Please show me where I said that ? I just recommend he de-tune it.
