My Bassani Video

I finally saved enough for a bassani x-pipe. Since the mufflers did not add much for power, I just went for the x-pipe to see what happens.

WOW, what a sound! I left the cats out. I made a video using some old "before" clips to compare to. The wife thought it was a little loud at first, but she is getting used to it.

The install was easy except for one bolt. It was on there pretty good and took a while to remove. But after that, it was a real easy install. I will have to check the connections again. I have some exhaust smell (which I expected) but also a rattle when it starts up.

NICE dude!!!

Your killing me - I have been playing around with getting the Bassani Xpipe for my ride and scraping the $$ together - now I GOTTA do it (ASAP too)

Where did you get it from and how much? (I was looking at Ninosport)
And did you get stainless or aluminized?

I got it from Ninosport. It came pretty quick too. It was $547 after the TMS discount.

I live in Pittsburgh (Snow/Salt) so I got the SS version.

My brother's buddy has a shop and told us we could come in on a saturday mroning and use one of his lifts and install ourself. Sounds like it isn't that hard....

Again, great videos Chris!

You put your stock H pipe back on or you know someone who'll pass you illegally...

That video doesn't even do the bassani x pipe justice.

I just installed it also and the sound is unbelievable. I take the long way home from where ever I am just to hear it more. Everyone that hears the car now comments on the exhaust.

A valet guy the other day commented "that sure isn't stock" when I got out of the car. And I have the Bassani cats on, i'm sure it's even louder with the off road set up.

Worth every penny.

That thing will sound like a frickin tank!!!

People can't believe how loud my car is and it has the high flow cats and JBA mufflers. Can't even imagine it with no cats and no mufflers.......

That was driver error. A cop had stopped me before the JLT clip. So I calmed down a little. I returned later to do the Bassani part. The cop was cool though. He did not know what I was really doing. I told him I was hiding out from family. He laughed and complimented the car.

Gee what do you think some guy is doing with his Mustang on a quiet secluded street???

That is the Fort Pitt tunnel. The one from the airport.

Or you drive less than 5,000 miles. Pretty hard though. Too much fun. I missed by 1600 miles this year. But I took two extra trips that put me over. So next year I might make it.

I am not sure. But when you drive reasonable (under 2000 rpms) it is quiet enough. I have driven by a few cops in the neighborhood already. Of course, I live two blocks from their station, so I need to be somewhat careful.

I am sure the emissions they can smell as you drive by might tip them off too.

I was driving in front of a co-worker the other day. He said he was not sure, but he thinks he saw some sparks come out of the exhaust after I pushed it and then let off the gas.

I was also talking to my aunt about my new exhaust. Her first question was; "Did you drive thru a tunnel yet?" AHH how nice.

The best part is I have not heard ANY drone at all.

I got it from Ninosport. If you have a manual, no extensions were needed. All three of the sensors fit no problem.

I've been trying to decide which axle-back to buy, but it's been difficult because I don't want drone, but I want that 'classic' sound. Also, I love the smell of off road exhaust . Sounds like this may be the way to go.

Sorry for the pun

Is a tune recommended for the x-pipe? sounds mean, I want!

Also, why is the bassani so expensive compared to the Mac or the UPR x-pipe? Is there really that big of a difference?
