Vert springs on Coupe?

First off, let me just say that I intend to cut a set of extra springs I have to see if I like the lowered car before I go off and spend $250 for Pro-Kit. My problem is, I just realized that the extra springs that I got off of ebay are from a Vert. From the information I found the vert springs have a lighter spring rate, but the verts weigh more. I'm a little confused by this.
Anyways, my question is, what would happen if I cut the vert springs and put them on my coupe? Would it work? From what I'm seeing the spring rate might still be a litte low even after cutting them.
Stock Coupe: F-165 lb/in R-142 lb/in
Stock Vert: F-144 lb/in R-122lb/in
Cut GT: F-212 lb/in R- 189lb/in
Cut Vert : F-185 lb/in R- 162 lb/in
Would I be better off selling the vert springs and buying some spare coupe springs later? I'm wanting to do something this week while I have the week off from work.

Something I've been wondering about, don't know if it's been answered: The GTs that came with larger stock rims were supposed to have slightly different suspension. Don't know if that applied to verts or how it might affect your situation.

The spring rate for a helical spring is
k = G*d^4/(8*N*D^3)
Where
G = the shear modulus of elasticity (strength) of the material
(use G= 12,000,000 for steel springs)
d = the diameter of the wire
N = the number of coils
D = the diameter of the spring

I just read over on Stangnet that up until September Eibach sold one set of springs for both the Coupe and the Vert. The new Vert specific springs supposedly has a higher spring rate to compensate for the weight difference. Which to me is opposite of the information I found reguarding the stock setup.
Someone please clear this up for me. I'm tempted to just go pull a stock rear spring and see what the difference is with them side by side before either is cut.
