Looks like there are two replacement choices for the rear UCA axle bushing.

I just noticed this item on the Steeda site. It's not listed in the 05-06 Mustang Full Line page. I found it in the general Bushings section of the Suspension page in the store:

555-4104
"Spherical Bearing for 2005-06 Mustang. Replaces upper trailing arm axle bushing with a Teflon lined spherical bearing. Housing is made from Billet steel for ultimate strength. Hardcore product will generate more NVH."

[attachmentid=44506]
$84.95

And this January release from Spohn Performance

M5-600
"Rear end housing polyurethane bushing kit for rear upper torque control arm on the 2005+ Ford Mustang."

[attachmentid=44507]
$16.95

i wonder how just replacing the bushings would compare to say a BMR non-adjustable UCA

Just to clarify, a new UCA replaces the front bushing only...these are bushings for the rear axle housing mount for the UCA. So doing either one would still leave you with one of the factory original rubber bushings.

My guess is that replacing the rear bushing with the polyurethane one fron Spohn would be roughly equivalent to using the BMR non-adjustable UCA (with poly bushing), performance and NVH-wise. Doing both would increase performance (and NVH noise) even more. If I correctly remember what those bushings look like, the rear one on the axle housing looked to be the softer of the two, so just replacing that one should tighten things up quite a bit and not increase NVH noise a whole lot...and the price is right!

Using Steeda's spherical would increase the performance and NVH noise even more but would eliminate the possibility for any suspension bind that poly bushings could introduce.

Personally, I'm installing the Spohn bushing and the Spohn adjustable spherical UCA; hopefully later this month or early next month...

Those rear UCAs are a good price. Especially if you can adjust them on the car. I still don't understand why they dump all over poly bushings, then sell them to use on the stock arm. Let me know what the ride quality is like. I might be interested in these if the spherical bushing isn't harsh.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>We do not, and will not, build an upper arm with a poly bushing. The design of the 2005+ Mustang's three link rear suspension system requires that the upper link be able to fully articulate for proper suspension function. The use of a polyurethane bushing at the front end of the upper arm will only cause complete suspension bind!
Not even Steeda has a spherical bushing arm

I think they're intention is that it be used in conjunction with their spherical UCA...but there's nothing stopping a person from using it with the stock UCA, if you're so inclined!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>Not even Steeda has a spherical bushing arm
Metco's UCA w/poly bushing is a nice solution to the bind issue as it has an articulating arm assembly...but it's very expensive! Add the Spohn rear poly bushing to that and it'll be very tight, nominal NVH noise, and no bind!!
