I have been on the fence about pullies for some time now. I guess it is time to fall off and get some?

Brenspeed.com has just the steeda crank pully with the eh2o pump as a combo, since you dont need the water pump pulley when you take out the stock one.

Are they really worth it?

Do you actually notice a difference?

I'll be paying somebody else to do the install.

Furthermore, I need my A/C to be working 100% - live around Los Angeles. Gets hot here in the summer.
I'm in L.A., also. To answer your question, your a/c will be fine. You will notice a difference. And yes, they are worth it. A water pump is not neccessary, but couldn't hurt. Your temp gauge will go up a bit, but not to the point that you need to worry. Just do it.

Is it difficult to do the install yourself?

My temp gauge didn't go up at all. I use the Granatelli's, and the waterpump is a bigger pulley than the stock in diameter, hence, it shouldn't dimish cooling ability.

It's bigger therefore it slows down. Because it slows down, it doesn't pump water as fast as stock.

Go for it. The added performance is noticeable immediately. The install is that not bad once you know the tricks. The first time I tried it I spent almost 4 hors and wound up having to give up. The second time, I did it in about an hour. So others can learn from my mistakes, I wrote a quick how to.

Good luck and feel free to PM me if you have questions.

Thanks Don, I see what you mean now. It must have been something with the conversion to the new forum S/W. I just resized an image and uploaded it.

I think the general consensus is that Steeda makes the best 05 GT UD pullies.

Where's the cheapest place to purchase it?

I'll be taking it to a mechanic to install - i don't have the time, patience, facilities, tools, or inclination to do it myself.

How should I pick a mechanic to do this. Obviously some experience with UD pullies is preferable - any thing else? Any thing special about 05 GTs and the Steeda pullies that he should be aware of?
