Question Underdrive pulley system

I was thinking about getting a new pulley system for my 07 GT. At just over $200, it's a mod I can afford -- but I'd like to hear from anyone who has installed a pulley and what, if any, performance difference they observed (or felt).

I just don't want to throw away $200.
Thanks.

Yes they are worth it. Maybe only about 5-8 rwhp but you can figure on spending about $30 bucks/HP for any mod.

So are the CMDP's a better bang for the buck?

Yes I guess so. They are worth about the same rwhp as the pullies but only cost about $150 shipped from Brenspeed. I have both.

But the next big question is...which is easier to do? And if paying a shop, which install will cost more in labor?

I've already done pullies myself and I'll probably tackle CMDPs eventually on my own as well.

Just trying to highlight the big picture...

I think the CMDP's seem like an easier install... maybe I'm wrong? That's why I was going to do those before UDPs. Maybe I need to look @ the Tacobill UDP write-up.

I did mine within a week of each other. For me the CMDP's made the bigger difference.

I think the CMDP's are easier only because you don't need any special tools. I did the CMDP's in my garage with TB's write-up and I'm not very mechanically savy.

OP-If your on a budget keep an eye out in the for sale section I got my CMDP's and UDP's for about $220 total.

I did the pulleys first and noticed alittle gain. I did the plates a coupe weeks later and thought I could feel more. I think these mods perform the best when you do both.

Keep in mind that you can always flash you car back to stock with the pulleys but not with the delete plates because the plates require a tune.

I installed the Steeda Underdrive pulleys and I believe it made a difference. I think it's a worth while investment especially if you're planning on staying n/a.

Forgive my ignorance, but are the pulleys incompatible wiith a blower?

Pretty much, since they would be turning the blower slower.

CMDP's are pretty easy, I installed mine in the driveway. Just read the install instructions that TacoBill posted.

You could do pulleys in the driveway, I'm not going to mess with it as it would be necessary to switch back to the factory pulley if I installed a supercharger at a later date. Something that I'm considering doing sometime in the future. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
