I have noticed that this site focuses on certain upgrades. CAI's, UDP's, TB's, now we are at blowers.

I have scanned the posts and wondered if those of you who did the UDP's are still happy with them?

Please give me a quick reply and tell me again what your choice was and any changes if you have know now what you knew then.

BTW, some mentioned using a certain brand because others chewed up the pullley belt. I am really looking at Steeda for the upgrade choice.

Thanks

Well, add me in as #4 for Steeda UDPs and still happy with them. I am about to install a EH2O pump which means I will be changing belts to compensate for the different size water pump pulley that is on the electric unit. But from other posts that I have read this should not affect the general intent of the UDPs.

Hawgman,
I have been running the Meizere electric pump with the Steeda pullies for about 6 months. Great mods together. Works great and you can feel the difference.

Kewl! Hopefully I will get it put on next week sometime. Been procrastinating because I am installing a Speed of Sound gauge pod and gauges at the same time and I just have not had enough "sack" to drill and tap the thermostat housing to install the water temp sensor for the gauge.

Another vote for Steeda! I've had them on for over 3000 miles now, and have had no problems at all. Looking over them when I installed them, they look very well made. Here are a couple of comparison pictures of Stock vs. Steeda....

Water Pump Pulleys -- Steeda on left, stock on the right

Crank Pulleys -- Steeda on the left, stock on the right

I have been running the same thing also with no issues. The Meziere pump is awesome. I started an article for the website Friday that I will have finished this week. The Steeda pulleys are always a good choice and that is all I stock for the 05 Mustang as far as pulleys go.

Bret, curious what you are experiencing as far as hp savings when the pump and pullies are together. Have you had a chance to dyno with this combination?

Is it the WP346 you're using?

If so what P/N belt is required when used with the Steeda Underdrive Crankshaft pulley?

Thanks

99 1/2" long belt
Gates belt #K060988

The Meziere/Steeda UDP combo has been flawless now for some time!

Does the stock crank pulley have a rubber isolator (looks like it)? If so, can an aftermarket pulley without one create any long term issues? Or will our engines be blown anyway long before then...

Actually, you can thank George (Blazing Saddles) for the info. He's the one that told me. I just replied before he saw the questions!
