I have an Automatic GT and I like to turn off the Over drive around town for a little extra power, but every time you turn off the car and start it again, the Over Drive is back on. How can I make it default to Off? I have a Predator tuner if that helps.

You may have to contact the dealer as this is most likely a computer setting and they will have to make a program change, just my option

OD sure, but I feel that one day TCS might just save your life: you should be happy you have it !

Just turn it off when you start the car.

Like you I turn my OD off in town. I get tied of the drone from the flowmasters. But I wouldn't be too quick to turn off the TCS. That can keep you out of a ditch or worse.

Maybe, but I have been driving for 30 years without TCS on any other car, and I turn it off all the time anyway, so I would still rather have it default to the "OFF" position. On those rare days here in San Diego that it rains, I could turn it back on.

I'm also in SD with a GT automatic.

Does yours "groan/moan" around 1200 RPMs/30 MPH or so? It shifts great when spirited, but driving slow it just doesn't sound right.

I've got all of 450 miles on it.

Not that I have noticed, but I have 4.10s in it, plus a CAI/Predator tune. And over 6000 miles now.

I took it to the dealership and they said the moaning/groaning wasn't anything. It's normal. An obviuos attempt to keep it out of the gas guzzler range at the expense of real world usage. Still not bad, just kind of annoying.

So there have been ZERO problems! No CD skips, no creaky front end noises, or fueling problems. Mine's a June build date. It looks like they sorted all the minor kinks out.
1050 miles.
