im ordering my cai and x2 from doug tonight. i decided on the c&l racer and x2 over the c& trueflow eventhough i like the looks of the the trueflow better. im thinking about going with perf 87, torque 94, and race 94. is the 94 race a waste since i dont go to the track?

 

I think you mean, 87 perf, 93 torque and 93 race..being that Doug, does not offer his programs above 93 octane..As for his 93 race tune ? I don't take my car to the track either, and I use my 93 race tune for everyday driving and have no problems at all..

 

just my thoughts... definately get the race tune. after you try the race tune, you wont use anything else, so the other two doesnt really matter. but, i guess an 87 tune of some sort would be ok in case you ever want to go to regular unleaded.

 

I only use my race tune on track. I prefer the feeling of the torque tune for daily.

 

Doug will do 94 tunes I think, I recall reading about it just yesterday I think.

 

I didn't like the race tune for daily driving and use the performance tune for that. It is going to depend on your driving style.

 

I'm waiting for a 91 perf- 91 Torq- 93 Race it's in the mail ?

 

My car has never seen the track and I use the 93 Race exclusively. It's the only tune you'll ever want to use. The 87 is good as a fall-back tune if needed, i.e., gas prices go to $10.00 per gal... other than that, I'm confident you'll be happy with the 93R. As for the 3rd tune... I went with 93 torque, but it really doesn't matter, remember? You're only using the 93R...

 

I couldn't agree more. Started with 87P, moved to 91T then 91R and it hasn't moved from that tune since.

 

91 Race tune here too! And a daily driver as well!
