Tuner upluged during loading? and gear question?
I got my breenspeed tuner today and was in the middle of downloading the stock tune it had finished and then it said it was ???erasing??? maybe can't really remember....long story short my son was outside and started crying so I went running out of the car came back and reallized that my foot pulled the plug out....so It let me upload the stock and tune and then I started all over and loaded my 93 octane tune..car ran great but I just wanted to make sure I didnt mess anything up...am I the only one this has every happend too? Just wandering any help or ideas...? Also is the rear gear in the 05-07 cars the same as the other mustangs 8.8? if not where is the best place to buy one and would it void warranty? thanks Rob

I don't think you'll have any problems since you reloaded the stock tune then reloaded the 93 tune.
I think the 8.8's are the same but I know the newer FRPP 4.10 and 3.73 use a different manufacturing process which is supposed to make them run more quiet. I installed my own FRPP 4.10's and they're quiet both on drive and coast. As for warranty, read the warranty booklet for your car and you'll see it's probably a grey area. I'll be finding out shortly myself when I take my car in for a driveline vibration, which starts at about 74 km/hr. I'm hoping they don't blame it on the gear change. I checked the pinion flange runout at 0.002" and Ford allows 0.010". Usually anytime I bring my car in for warranty everything's either checked as normal condition or we couldn't find anything wrong. Then I present a tsb if there is one and all of a sudden they miraculously find the problem.

Ford will not allow anything larger than 3.55, people have said that ford did not accept the 3.73 the only time gears like 4.10 or 3.73 will be under warrenty is if it is a part that comes with the FRPP kits and yes they are the same gears for all the mustangs that have an 8.8 rear-end, just a newer version so they will be quieter
