Do you have any suggestions for which synthetic fluid to put into my 5 speed? Also, what type of fluid for the rear end? Thanks!

I went Royal Purple Trans fluid in the trans. Just over 3 quarts. Mobil 1 gear oil in the diff.

I switched to mobile 1 in the engine at 700 miles. Just changed the trans. at 2500 miles. You can change at anytime. The diff comes with Synthetic.

"NEO" makes a 7WT synthetic that works for trans & rears. I have used it in road race & circle track cars with HP as high as 650 with no drive train failures.

They also make a 0W-5 engine oil which is also a great product.

Why did you change the oil in the transmissiom and why did you change the rear end lube? Do not understand this move.

I change everything over to synthetics as soon as possible. I am sold on synthetics. I did not know the rear came with it already. Even with out using synthetics I would change them all early on. Breakin is done and this stuff is full of metal shaving's. You should of seen the trans fluid after 2500 miles. I am sure I will get flamed on this but its cheap insurance. Has worked for many cars and motorcycles I have had.

Don't know why someone would flame you over this. Your car and $$.
I was just curious as why you did it so soon.

Guess I am a little gun shy. I try to stay away from the synthetic debates. I am pretty **** with my rides. I change oil about every 2000-3000 at the most and always use synthetics. I have rebuilt several motors for my self and friends. You can really tell the difference between synthetic and dino oils when tearing down a motor.
