tranny woes / 6 speed time?

who has the best kit out there?
any other recs for a manual tranny switch

i think mine is ******* up, as it is getting progressively harder to shift.
and this after just 9 months, 9,900 miles, and 11 days on the track.
I missed going to VIR today, because something just isn't right.

sometimes is wont go into reverse AT ALL, other times, like slowing to a stop light , getting it into 1st or 2nd is a tough proposition.

even 3rd and 4th are hesitant at times.

these all are transitory and it may behave fine at one time, and stubbornly at another.
the stubbornness is rapidly on the increase.

then sitting with the car off, in the driveway, i can run all 5 gears. with the clutch, all fine, even run them all without the clutch, fine, then continue,(using the clutch again) and some hesitancy re-emerges from the stick going into the 1st or 2nd gate.

i don't know if it is synchro's going bad or what.

i shift pretty tamely on the street, have never power shifted it,

i do not really have a handle on heel-toe, so going into corners on the track, i am HARD on the brakes, and down shift, and actually use the engine to scrub off speed as well. i would think this would be harder on the engine than the tranny.

i have never had more than a rare short grind when shifting.

wtf??

depending on what they find, if warranty doesn't not cover it for some reason, then i want to know if plan b is to replace vs repair, or switch to a 6 speed, or a different heartier 5 speed.

perpetually beleaguered,
doc

"Track" is not a good term to use when making claims for warranty work. It's only got 9,900 miles on it. Just drive it there like every other ******* and just scratch your head. They'll fix it and you can go grenade another tranny before you buy your six speed.

yeah, do not say the word "track"
they should fix it, since it only has 10k

no doubt on keeping mum on tracking the car,
however,
the brakeducting, and ebc yellowstuff may give me away.

i plan on taknig off the BMR LCAs and reverting to stock for now, as i am sick of them clunking (THE WASHER INSERTION TRICK ONLY MADE THINGS WORSE).
AND I PLAN ON TAKNIG OFF THE bmr REAR SWAY BAR ANDREVERTING TO STOCK, AS I AM sick OF HEARING IT SQUEAK, (DESPITE FREQUENT APPLICATION S OF MARINE GREASE), never had that problem with my steeda rear sway on teh other stang.

i wonder how much grief i will get about the brake ducts indicating that i must be racing or tracking the car, and therefore have voided the warranty???

also,
this a.m., on the way to work, i noticed i had to blip the throttle some to rev-match, (on up AND downshifts) and sometimes blip twice to get it to go into gear.
so does this sound like synchro's or sumpin' else?
if it is synchros . . . is that usually a repair or replace?
thx
doc

If they ask, just tell them that you want to prolong the life of the components by minimizing heat and that the stock pads are crap. They will have no grounds to say thay brake ducting caused a transmission problems. That would be like saying that putting a new stereo in caused the paint on the spoiler to flake off

now on video

here is a video of some of the shifting hesitation, there is a thick notchiness between gears. this is sometimes, somewhat relieved by over revving during an UPshift, and then completing the shift INto the higher gear.

notice the 1st 17 seconds is trying to get into reverse:

so do y'all think it is the shifter or the tranny itself

Just curious, when was the last time you changed the ATF in the gearbox?
