I have a tendancy to turn the traction control off everytime I get into the car. Does anyone else do this? Has anyone tried this:
Trac Adapt
It is cool because you can turn it off once and have it stay off all the time, and then if you want it back on just press the button and it will be on all the time.
Thanks
Jon

Anyway, it's raining a lot here and I found TCS to be very helpful, especially since the car's still wearing stock rubber. Whenever I need it off, I can just press the button.
Nice find though.
Regarding OD, I always turn it off whenever I'm driving in town. No need for 5th gear at 30-40 mph.

That product worked well on my '02. The traction control on the new on isn't nearly as intrusive as the one on my old car. The TC on my '02 nearly got me killed a couple of times, and got me stuck in the snow once. It was way too sensitive in that it allowed 0 tire spin. On my new one, its a little more adaptive.

My SCT2 vendor said he could set the thing to default to "off" but then the car would have a warning message on the info center every single time. [That isn't yet a user-definable adjustment] <sigh> I decided I might as well leave that alone and do it manually.
For what it's worth, I have a manual tranny.
I saw that TracAdapt thing on another thread awhile ago. I haven't heard anyone say it works with the 2005 up cars though, or I should say I haven't heard anyone say that they have it on their car...

I think a few of us are waiting for them to update their product info and give us the go-ahead for the '05+. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I knew it worked. Yes, I like the traction control when it is rainy out, but for every other day I turn it off. I'd much rather have the default be the off position.
Oh, and the SCT or Diablo tuners can turn it off, however, it completely disables it without allowing you the option of turning it back on.
