In a closed magazine test session, the procharger car made some passes. I can't reveal all the details. What I can say is that the car weighed in at 3805!!! 80 degrees out. Stock with the Procharger kit at 8 lbs with 4:10s and ET Streets the car went WELL into the 11s at just under 120mph. Stay tuned to for info as to when the magazine article will be out.

At what speed do you have to start installing roll bars and fire extinguisher to be able to run on a strip?

At 11.50 you need a roll bar & 5 point harness. This is new for 2005 (NHRA). Until last year it was 11.99.

Hmm, 4.10s are too much gear for that time...he would have had to shift into 5th before the end of the pass. I bet the car would do better with 3.73s or 3.90s...

no, the 4.6 loves to rev so 4.56 gears and a rev limiter move to 7000 would bring some wicked times. and stay in 4th gear

7000rpm with stock springs = possible valve float = possible new motor :nono:

Good to hear this. That means the car will be an easy 10 second contender, and 9 second street cars are going to be possible.
