Total cost of adding a supercharger?
I dont want to be at a crazy HP level. Just around 400 would be good for me. I still dont think anyone truly answered the my question. If right now, I had $6k, can I walk into a dealership and say "I want that supercharger hanging on the wall" have them put it in my car, and drive home safely? Or are guages a necessity? Suspension? Tires? Clutch? You get what I'm getting at here? I am asking this because I can spend the flat rate for the SC and install, but when it comes to adding all those other things, I dont think I can do it.

Anyway, there are no driveability issues with the car at all. Once I stop thinking about it, I can't tell the car has it until I need a little more throttle than normal. The under the hood sound is great as it's a combination of the SC and CAI. There's very little noise from the outside and it's likely no one else may know there's a SC under the hood. There's no difference in the car until you put your foot into it.
There's no need for any else besides the SC kit. Just bolt it on and go. I had the same concerns as you as I'm glad I went with the Ford non I/C Whipple. It don't know how many hp is at the rear wheels but it's plenty.
I had my first traffic light kill this weekend against a Dodge Hemi pickup. He had a length on me before I even realized he wanted to race. Needless to say, I went by him in a heart beat. The tires were hazing as I went by him and they smoked again when the car shifted to second. It must have been a great view from his seat, making the purchase well worth it to me!
Bro, just get the kit and enjoy yourself. Over the next months and years you can add all the things you want. Just educate yourself here on the forums and get used to blowing all of your spare cash on your Mustang which is not only a car, it's a way of life.
springs are not a necessary suspension mod for your newly added power...if you are going to upgrade your suspension to put the power to the ground and hold better, you need LCA's, adjustable UCA, panhard bar, and torque limiters (these are the basics and there are plenty more). Realistically anything you buy other than the blower kit is not a necessity. You will be fine with the blower and the frpp tune out the door

If you go non intercooled you will need a Shelby dual fuel pump. I don't know if it comes with the high output kit or not. I think the HO kit now comes with the Shelby dual pumps. If you end up needing the fuel pump set up let me know. I'll be ordering the intercooler upgrade kit soon and it comes with the pumps. I already had Shelby pumps put in my car and won't need the ones in the kit.
