Torque/H.P. question
I just had a s/c installed, the dyno showed 455 rwhp, 401 tq. does the tq. number seem right or should it be higher, or did I look at it wrong. It seeems most tq. numbers are higher then h.p. numbers, or do I have it backwards ?

Most people think a dyno measures HP, it measures torque, HP is just a calculation based on the RPM peak torque occurs. Tractor motors are very powerful, but are rated low on HP because they turn slower. Centrifugals make less torque, but higher in the powerband, so they have good HP numbers.
