That's because you are like me old man. OLD! Thing's just don't work as good as they once did. So I "Agree" mash the **** pedal and go!! I could never shift as fast as these auto's on my best day!!

Okay, I'm not "that" old, my friend. I'm only 44. And I'm gonna brag a bit about my shifting ability. When the 2003 Mach 1's first came, the best 1/4 mile for a stocker (on drag radials) I ever read about was Paul Svinicki's 12.97. That became my goal. Best I ran stock (on drag radials) was 13.02 - just .05 off Paul's run. Of course, I missed a couple 2-3 shifts racing my '03 Mach 1 in the 3 years I owned it, so I'm happy to leave my '07 GT in drive and let the computer do the work and it never misses a shift!
I like my Automatic GT better for drag racing too, like Scott said you just can't shift (or even think) as fast as that computer can shift the car. On all the twisty secondary roads we have where I live I do wish I had a stick so the TCI shifter is a substitute.

Impressive indeed Brian.
Do yourself a favor and keep the auto. When you get to my age you forget what gear you in. Not good in a manual.
I got to test the Converter this afternoon. WOW! It works just like advertised, I put my drag radials on first and then my neighborhood was full of white smoke for a little while although I only did 2 pulls.

Great news indeed David!!!

Hard to believe running a much higher stall isn't it? If you are going drag racing I know a higher stall is wanted for launch but for the street the 3000 is the best fit I believe.Scott
I think my pref was the 3500 stall but im happy at 3000. Especially since this one works right. The 20's Seem to add a lil more traction to the ground also.
Glad to hear ur happy w yours. Vids??

EDIT:
The other big improvement was installing an aftermarket Tach that I can actually see. The stock tach is in such a crappy location I could never see the tach while staging. https://themustangsource.com/showthread.php?t=483043

You are younger and more "riding the edge" than David and Me. So what's up with your trans fluid heat issue???
And even when the two biggest tuners in the county tell you 3500 is too much for the street you are still doubting them. But you may need that 3500 to get them big *** 20's rolling.
