Took Off Off Road Pipe
That x-pipe w/ no cats is LOUD with Flowmaster axle backs. I had a check engine lite with it on anyway; it kept coming back to p2272, o2 sensor lean signal stuck, bank 2 sensor 2. All this crap started when I put on the pipe and the Diablo Predator with the C&L canned tunes in it. The JLT ram air kit should work fine with these tunes, and I think I've eliminated the CEL by taking off the pipe. Are these things really worth the money? Seems like a lot of ****ed racket for nothing or am I just getting old in a hurry. Someone let me know if any true performance is to be gained by their use.

True perfomance from an o/r x, a little maybe good for 4-6 rwhp in upper rpm range. I also got a cel with my o/r h. It's only worth it if you like the sound. Do it for that, not the minimal gains.

If your getting 02 sensor codes (CEL's)..It usually means, that your rear 02 sensors aren't turned off..
Both Bamachips, and Brenspeed.. have the rear 02 sensors turned off, on all their performance tunes, automatically..Just a thought..

mark, did you ever hear a long tube off road set up? if so, how does yours compare with that as far as loudness? i often hear of people with off-road h or x pipes complain about the volume, but afaik, not owners of long tubes with off road h or x's.
thanks in advance people.

Not all. Early 06 Brenspeed was not doing this. At least for mine.

You know John last year I ran my offroad Mac Prochamber with the stock mufflers and really liked the sound also. With a better set of looking tips I could run them again. They were plenty aggressive and had no drone at all.

Yeah, Im thinking of getting some chrome tips for it also and just keeping it that way. Need to do some searching for good ones since they will need to rough the Chicago winters.
