I have searched the forum alot about tires but still have not figured out what I want... I have 33000 miles on my stock tires and will be getting some new ones in the next few weeks... Any and all suggestions welcome... Mostly looking for something that can be driven year round in the south... temps do get below freezing some but hardly ever snow... looking for a great dry traction tire and a good wet traction tire... thanks in advance!

If you were happy with the stock tires, then they would be a good choice. I'm guessing since you have an 05 you have the 17's, which are the Pirelli's. I like them, and have 44K miles on mine. They are thin, but still have another 2 months on them left. Plus they are cheap, $76 from www.tirerack.com Do some research there, thats a great tire website.

Definitely go a little bigger- 245/55-17, 255/50-17, or 255/55-17. All will fit nicely on your OEM wheels .

As long as you keep the same (or close to the same) revs per mile, you won't need to worry about your speedo being off. Changing the tire size could require a tuner to compensate, just to be aware.

33K on stock tires is awesome mileage.I have run the T/A kdws in the 18's and they have great all season traction here in the rockies.Especially on wet snowy roads.

The BFG KDW2's are great wet and dry tires. Pretty shaky in the snow though.

I have defiantly been thinking about the KDW2's they sound awesome... Also defiantly looking into 255/50 or /55... how much difference is there between the /50 and the /55? My tires have gotten great milage for sure... not to many smokey burnouts I still baby it to much But I defiantly would like some better wet performance than the stock Pirellis... thanks for the info fellas!

Also the KDW2's are a summer tire... Would it be much harm to driving them in cold weather? We do not get much snow here, but do see plenty of freezing temperatures...

I have them in 255/45/18's and drove them throughout the winter in freezing temps except in snow. Couldn't decide between those and the Nitto 555's. Glad I got he KDW2's since the Nitto's have pretty bad wet traction. One side note, they are a little bit louder than the stock pirellis.

opps - thought I saw KDWS, my buddy ran KDWs in the snow, it was a painful experience to drive about 5 miles to get to work vs the 22 I drove with my Pilot Sport A/S's it took us both 45 minutes to get to work that morning.

Look for all-season listed on the tire - this is an area of confusion for most people. In tire speak, all-season refers to a tire's ability to resist varying temperatures. What most people consider to be an All-Season tire is really one with a M+S (M&S, etc) rating.

You can have a snow tire that isn't branded all season (indeed, some snow tires are so soft that they wear like crazy in hot weather)

Well the KDW2 are not considered all season... Just ultra high performance summer... the KDWS are all season though... Ya the Nittos defiantly do not get the wet traction from what I hear so the KDW2's sounds awesome! I should be ordering them soon!
