Tire Problems
Need opinions: I brought 2 265/40/18 BF Goodrich KDW (TT=old tread style) tires last fall thinking of splitting the cost and getting 2 more this spring. BUT my Tire Dealer can't get that tread design anymore. He has offer to let me trade in the tires at new cost if I buy 4 265/40/18 BF Goodrich KD tires about $100 more than what I have in the tires now. MMMMM I do like the tread design of the KD and he had 2 instore and mounted them for my back tires to test, but he needs to order 2 more and I get to pay the different. And no I didn't do any burnouts on the test tires .

Dly,
The KD's are great dry tires and if you stuck with having to have BFG'S(because of the trade in thing) then they are by far the best "ultra high perf" tires that BFG makes.
If your dealer will let you change brands the you have options( although you most likely stuck because you drove on the rear tires)

What ever way you choose, your don't want to mix model or design front to rear, even in the same size. There can be a big difference in side wall stiffness, et al and the car will get very squirrely at highway speed ... been then, done that.
