Tillman Speed Whipple HO Custom SCT Dyno Tune Numbers! 4.10 Gears - 10lbs.
Pittas came to us with a 2008 Mustang GT with 4.10:1 gears and a JLT Intake w/ a competing mail-order SCT tune. His car felt better, but still lacked some driveability and throttle response, as well as air fuel optimization and timing. We installed a 10lb Whipple Black HO Supercharger, and custom tuned the vehicle on our in-house Dynojet 224xLC. When we were done custom tuning the vehicle, it put down 471.92 RWHP and 458.20 RWTQ SAE Corrected on 93 Octane with 4.10:1 Ford Racing Gears on a nice 80 degree day! Stay tuned for a full bottom-end build and more boost!

Rotating assemblies using fully forged components are usually in the area of 1700-2100 depending on what kind of power level you're looking for and what components you want to incorporate.
Short blocks can run anywhere from 4500-5200 depending on the same variables. We have them with fully forged pistons, new tri-armor bearings, forged steel stroker cranks, forged rods, ARP fasteners everywhere, new aluminum production block ready to drop in.
If you want to increase boost upwards of 10psi, and see power levels from 510RWHP and upwards to about 850-900RWHP then it's definitely required. The other thing is you will need supporting transmission modifications as well. If you're going to keep it under 600, you can get away with carbon synchros, 26 spline conversion kit, and a properly rated clutch and flywheel assembly.
