Throttle position sensor???

Throttle doesn't like to come back to idle and sometimes it will actually go up. It happened when the car was stock and happened most often when the AC was on. Now it happens pretty frequently regardless. I'm guessing its a bad TPS? Any ideas?

Try cleaning the throttle body. Then disconnect the battery awhile. When you reconnect go through the idle learning procedure.

Start car in park and run for a minute +.
*
Next run the AC for a minute +.
*
Drive the car for 10+ miles.
*
Vary your speed to reteach the car.

This is the first thing to try.

Oil builds up on the butterfly and causes it to surge.

So far so good guys. Thanks so much for the help! I removed the TB and cleaned it with TB cleaner. And I wiped the intake too. Throttle seems to be normal again!

I take off the TB and the sensor at least three times a year and spray with the appropriate cleaners, makes a huge difference and Idles stay level.

Yea I'm gonna start incorporating it in to my regular maintenance. It wasn't too dirty but I guess it was dirty enough lol
